Really awesome custom PADD.

Got this from a dude over at ASAP. Truly an amazing piece. I'm a big fan of padds to begin with, so when someone does a great build up of a CUSTOM design that incorporates a slot for an ISO chip, I gotta have it.

The iso chip isn't fully inserted, but it goes in down to the label. Really a great idea. I'm surprised they never thought of this for the show.

Anyhow, if the maker wants to chime in, I'll leave it up to him. Awesome work dude.

I think he posted this one and a couple others here last month or so... Either way, it's a great looking PADD.

By the way, they did do a ISO chip inside a PADD for TNG and was later used in Voyager. Both pieces in the picture below were recently sold by ItsAWrapHollywood on Ebay.

hunh.. neat design.

I don't know about them using current circuit boards in the originals though. It seems like whenever shows use present tech in sci-fi things, they tend to look stupid after a few decades.

Thanks. That custom PADD is mine. I am building another to replace it as it was one of my favorite desgns, Matt :)

I have two other designs I am building up right now as well:

Like the original design, esp. w/ the ISO chip.

New design looks nice, too.
And great paintjob on Large PADD

Thanks everyone.

To give credit where credit is due, if it wasn't for Matt posting his templates and how-to stuff I would never have thought I'd be able to make these. Kudo's to Matt on all counts too.
