Realistic IDs

I don't mean realistic as in content but how they're made so that they look like you used an expensive machine like they do for drivers licenses. Anyone have ideas? I have some self sealing laminate sheets that are about the right size. I used one last year to make an ID of my friend's one gaming character and it looked pretty good.

close. I think i'm going to leave the photo parts a bit smaller than the card i'm using that way the laminant still has someplace to contact that isn't paper. I have to post these sheets i got on here for folks. The ID ones were gone and i'm using the luggage tags but they're basically the exact same items.

That isn't paper they printed on, it's Teslin or Artisan printable PVC, the laminention and that PVC sheet will become one, you can cut anywhere edge to edge and it won't de-laminate, no need to overhang the lamination...

I posted about some inkjet printable clear adhesive vinyl a while back, and this applied to a plastic credit card blank looks great.

As the ink isn't waterproof, and can still scratch and smear, I recently tried laminating a card in a regular laminator, with a standard paper laminating sheet, and it was a success! Just trimmed the edges back to the edge of the card blank with an X-acto knife. It's been in my wallet a coupla weeks now, with no de-lamination.

cool. Yeah i raid teh dollar store for these ID making laminate sheets and cheap photo paper. i figure i may not need it now but at some point someone i know who cosplays will need an id for their character and its not like they take much space up. Plus i think i'm a hoarder lol. I got my buddy a kit for a bladerunner gun and wanted to run off some of paper props for him using these items.
