Where are you guys getting the actual WWII Webley Flare guns from?? I'm on a bout 5 gun sites, but have NEVER come across one.

Well, I don't own one but I've ran across plenty.

It's just like any other piece of old..... stuff.

You just keep your eyes open and get ready to jump on it. At least, that's how it's been in my experience.

I saw them quite often at gun and knife shows in Indianapolis when I used to run around those, but that was, gawd... 10 years ago now. I remember a friend that was just a casual fan picking one up (with okay of booth owner), turning to me and asking "Boba Fett?" and then wishing he had the money, because he'd never really thought about that.

Sorry, rambling.

Keep your eyes open, and good luck!

Been looking on Random gun sites for a few years, and haven't been lucky...YET. I would think getting them overseas would be even harder. Can you get "working" versions legally here??

That's for someone else to answer. Like I said, I've never been a fan of the piece, so I haven't looked into whether or not they were deactivated. :lol

Good luck to ya!

I have one myself that I bought from a friend.
I've seen several around online over the years too.
Usually they go for around $1000 or more.

i gave up on a real one and got a hand shaub bronze one. some day i'm hoping to pick up one of the inaccurate nickel (? the shiny silver colored) ones, since the rotj blaster is painted anyway.

then again, i seem to recall that rotj doesn't use a real one anyway... that they are cast. but i could be wrong on that.

Also check any antique stores around you that might specialize in WWII and other war memorabilia. About eight years ago, myself and someone I know walked into one and it was sitting in a glass case. He bought it. Can't remember how much.

I've seen three blued ones for sale over the years of me surfing just here and TDH. I passed on them all, price was right on, but I just couldn't justify it. I did pick up a HS bronze one as well when he did his original run so many years ago. It's the next best thing and probably just as rare on the "for sale" market.

Keep your eyes peeled on the prop boards and ask around TDH....it never hurts as someone might need to, or be interested in selling theirs.

As CB said, they come up on gunbroker a couple times a year... that has been the best place I have seen to snag one.

I saw a reality show sometime ago where some police force on the East coast was still using them to shoot smoke grenades...the chromed versions.
