Re-Master: 1/100 Matsumoto 14 [Robot Jox] Scratch Build - Soon in 3D!

No problem! I hope that fills in some of the missing information. :) (I still have a lot of work to do to fill in/correct the rest.)

Things are progressing nicely. But any chance I can get a look at the shoulder joint please, without the shoulder cap on please? struggling to make out which lines are seams and which are curves.

Nice work!

The bicep & thigh parts are pretty much identical, the only difference is the cylinder detail on the side.

Here's where I'm at after 3 days. its painted, rigged and can be animated. Even popped a little Gary Graham in the cockpit!! I couldn't have done this without your help so thankyou again. I've been wanting to build this for years now.

Fantastic work! The pilot is a very nice touch. You're welcome, always happy to help!

I kinda wish I wasn't making one so complex - then it'd be done already! :D

The fact that the theme music plays in my head whenever I look at pictures of your model really tells you how accurate it is! :D
Thanks! I get that feeling when I'm working on this guy, too! :D

Excellent work!!
Thanks!

Moving on to the rocket booster section.

I finally took a closer look at the detail on the rocket boosters, and man... night and day! (I have a suspicion that the rectangular parts are M1 Abrams exhaust vents, but since the vent detail would grind my PC down to a crawl, decided to omit them for now).

Great job on this!!! Wow…

Hi guys, so I thought this needed to be built. I grabbed whatever references I could online and reverse/engineer one from scratch.

I did the math to scale it to 1/100 & started with the canopy. I think 1/100 is pretty close to the small-scale stop-motion puppet used in filming.

Once that was done, I modeled an armature in 3D and got the files printed. 58 total points of articulation & 111 parts.
