Randy Cooper's Jawa Sandcrawler *WIP*

Thanks guys!

Im deep into cleaning the track's wheels assemblies....a new hell since these need a LOT of work to look decent. Left one is as it came in the parts box, right one after some work:

I just finished one set of tracks. Four more to go. Preparing the tracks and cleaning them carefully I still managed to snap them due to the fact the resin strap that holds them is quite delicate and brittle. I little styrene strips were need to repair and reinforce them. I finished today spraying some primer to this assembly to get a sense how is coming together. Each set is in itself a model that takes some time to piece together right.

I added some additional detail (additional cable traversing the cover's length) to the track covers.

Thanks for looking!

Wow, that looks cool! The details in the cockpit look amazing. I love those cockpit doors and the hidden details are really awesome.

Finished another set of tracks. Added the cogs behind the little windows and some different details to the cover plate. Reasom behind the differences is trying to stick to the story behind these vehicles and how the Jawas constantly patch and repair them up all the time.

If you ever plan on tackle one of these resin kits be prepared for the dust....the tons of it that result from the work needed to make them fit well and look good...

I will paint and put together each track for later weathering which will give each piece life and add some "weight" to it and add a dirty overused piece of equipment look.
