Finally got around to working on my Second Model Hand Eject (in 45 Autorim)...pulled the barrel, cut it back to 4", and fabricated a new front sight assembly. I haven't decided to refinish it or not...the grips are pretty much smooth, and it seems to have had that crappy wartime black finish (which is almost all gone) but it doesn't look horrible. The flash shows the touch-up on the barrel done to cover the lathe marks, but in person it looks the same :)

Me too...that is a rather difficult one to track down. Hell, I run a gun shop and the only one I've ever seen was a chromed 2"...it was...horrible...

nice gun....looks exactly like mine..LOVE shooting it as well. The 1911 was always my favorite gun, so it's nice to have a revolver that can shoot the same...:thumbsup
