I read that he and Sharon had a plan in place for both of them to not allow them to get so bad that they had no quality of life. They "supposedly" had arranged for assisted suicide somewhere in Sweden for the future if either of them needed it, but no one knows the details and if that was the case here. I wouldn't say it would be a shock if that was the plan. They held that final show and he basically said his goodbyes, almost like he knew it was the final time he would see everyone. There have been reports that Sharon had publicly talked about it in the past, but their daughter Kelly has spoken out the past few days to say they didn't have such a pact. I guess we will ever know for sure.
