R.I.P OZZY Osbourne

Wow. Black Sabbath just had their last performance, too. I saw clips of it online and even though Ozzy was seated in a throne, because of course, he looked and sounded great. I was a huge fan in my younger years. Sad that he's gone, but he leaves behind a massive legacy.

RIP Ozzy.

Ouch. With the retirement concert just a couple weeks ago, I wouldn't have thought he was quite that sick.

He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2020 and he looked pretty frail at the concert, barely able to move much at all in the chair he was sitting in and his speaking voice fairly weak. What I found amazing was how it didn't reflect in his singing voice at all as he sounded great from all the clips I've seen.

To paraphrase the best comment ever made about Black Sabbath: "There's no other band where so many owed so much to so few."

RIP

I knew the concert was a final show because of his health. I just didn't think he was dying in the immediate sense. I sorta figured he would spend a few more years retired from public life before he passed on.
