R.I.P George Kennedy

RIP. He was a great character actor even in the worst of films. Now he can hang out with Leslie Nielsen and that fart machine he carried around.

Even in a bad movie he was always entertaining to watch. I own soooo many movies he is in. Thanks, George.

I hated to hear this! He was a great character actor and he often showed up in TV shows of the 60s and 70s. A familiar face that will be missed! RIP!

Sad news, but he had a good innings at 91. Loved him in Cool Hand Luke, and can honestly say I never saw him turn in a bad job.

Yeah, a pretty good innings and one of those actors who always seemed to be around in the 70's actioners, I remember him best in " Cool Hand Luke" and "Thunderbolt and Lightningfoot" mainly for those two thorough beatings he handed out. He also played a great part in "The Eiger Sanction" with that other stalwart of the decade, Clint Eastward, and turned up in Westerns and WWIIs ,plus seemingly all the disaster movies of the time. Damn, I feel old!!!! RIP George.

I will always remember him in the last scene of Airport, as he walks under the wing of the 707,cigar in his mouth, and hits the wing with the his new box of cigars he got as reward saying "Good going sweetheart". Only someone of his talent could make an old airline mechanic so memorable. Rest in piece Petroni.
