After having just seen the Harry Potter exhibit in Boston I really would like to make a Quidditch set as seen in the first movie. Does anyone have some hi res images of it. If someone has some dimensions of the case and balls that would be awesome. Actually any help at all would be great. It just stinks that there was no photography allowed at the exhibit.

HP is WB right? Isn't WB one of the most vigilant studios regarding IP?

On track, I think this would be great prop, and think the same thing whenever I watch the film.

To misquote "Good Morning, Vietnam"... If WB is so viligant regarding HP's IP, we should put this on the QT before we all end up on KP.

Here's the one I took at Chicago: Sorry no flash and it was dark back in the cubby hole where they had it on display.

MadSparrow, I noticed you've bumped a couple of these threads, what are you looking for? If you're looking for info about the chest, I'd buy the blu ray version of the film or go down to Orlando, they have a replica of it in one of the windows of a store.

Certainly a great prop I might attempt myself this summer.

There is one on display at WB on the second floor of their museum, can't take photo's there either, I took a camera in thinking I would be able to get a couple of shots off but there was a security guard about ever 5 feet. I contacted the original house that built the prop and have some construction photo's somewhere.

I made a quidditch set a few years ago. It is not in any way screen accurate- but it works for my purpose. I found tall, wooden bowling pins at one of those "pottery" clearance houses, that I used for the bats. The pins are meant to stand so they are flat on the bottom, but a little sanding rounds them out nicely. I was in a big hurry when I made my set- maybe someday I will go back and make it accurate. The flash washed the picture out a bit.
