Quickie and cheap Prop Weapons case

It is only cheap because I picked up the Zero Halliburton briefcase at a thrift store for $5 a while back, but I wasn't using it for anything. It is made of aircraft aluminum and is gunmetal grey. The lock on it was damaged, but I thought about making one of those sniper spy cases with cut foam for the gun parts to be assembled in it. I came across some egg crate foam that is used in gun cases for free from some packages we tossed at work. So I decided to make a quickie case for my prop Guns. It took me less than an hour to make and it also has some BR connections. A silver or aluminum finish ZH case can be seen on Deckard's table when Racheal tosses the photo on the ground in his apartment. I actually ripped out the leather lining from it and maybe devalued it a hundred bucks (they sell for over $100 on ebay). but it is now a cool prop in its own right as well as prop protector. The guns I have in there are from left to right a C&S Coyle V3, and an early Coyle cast from a stunt gun. I may down the road use the custom cut foam 3 layer, but in the meantime this will work with different props as needed. Total cost $5...

Great Display..

There are actually two different Deckard briefcases that are similar.

The Voigt Kampf case-

And

the one in the apartment-

The Voigt Kampf Case looks like maybe a Halliburton knockoff perhaps. The details just don't line up. The apartment case however looks pretty spot on to the Halliburton style.

Thanks guys,
ZH makes cases fror everything from camera equiptment to musical gear and you name it...so I wouldn't be suprized if the VK case is a ZH. The Briefcase was the same depth as other guncases I have so I knew it would work. I just have to figure out a way to fix the lock on it. It latches fine but the combination is disabled. It is a good thing for now since many briefcases I find at the thrift stores are permanently closed because the person at the shop or owner never wrote down the combination on the ouside of the case. Of couse if you are a good lock pick this would be a good way of getting some cheap cases to work with.
There are other cool hardshell briefcases out there that this will work with as well. I have a couple already that I use to store my flat BR stuff. The leather liner I took out of my case is the same style that is in the Deckard briefcase too. I left the inserts in there loose so I can change them out later. They fit perfectly though, and i just trimmed them with a pair of siscors. I would need to get a hot wire cutter to make the more custom shapes. But this works perfectly for me now and is very versitile.
