Here's my version. I used some tubing in the laser cannons and thinned a few things out. Cant wait for my Bandai X to get here and the Revell level 2 to come out.

That is a really awesome build!! Beautiful job on the weathering, and i like how you corrected the BB-8 droid, looks cool!

Very nice. If you don't mind sharing, what did you use to "fix" BB-8? The weathering is beautiful. If you'd drop any advice on what paint/technique you used I would certainly appreciate.

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks Jim, I used a black base coat to start. Very light grey over that and washes, pastels and airbrush to weather it. I taped off certain panels and used a soft paint brush and pastels to darken up some panels. And last but not least I used white, grey silver and some dark grey paint on a tiny brush to create chips in the paint. I tried to recreate a "blotchy" chipped look. Also ran some fine sandpaper over some of the raised areas to bring out some black base coat. The droid is made with two tiny balls of epoxy sculpt.

thanks
jake

I'm starting the level 2 Poe's X wing and hope to achieve the same level of accuracy & beauty. I'll be sure to post my progress and final result!
