questions about size and replicas

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of building a replica of a few missiles used in Iron Man, I want to make them as accurate as I can so I have a question for you. I have noticed how picky you can be , especially when we're talking about Han's Falcon (or Lando's however you wanna see it). So, the missile Im building has an O.D. of 2.75" the closest tube I can find off the shelf is 2.95" O.D., so if you were me would you consider this a close enough O.D. for a replica or not, and if not how would you recommend cutting this down to size.

Thanks in advance JS

Look harder.

A quick google search comes up with several sources for 2.75 OD tubeing.

Although I don't think anyone will fault you for using something a hair larger such as the material you have access to.
