Question: The best card stock for BSG Triad cards?

I've got a bit of a question that I need some help on. I was lucky enough to get the PDF file of the Triad cards from PhoenixVader when he offered it not too long ago. Now, I've been contemplating on printing the cards out for myself (I have a card stock I picked up from Big Lots, Wausau Paper, Item #82319), but I don't know it'd be the best card stock (in quality, thickness, etc) for the cards. I began wondering about prop replica playing cards of all types and began wondering about the best card stock to use for the cards. Does anyone happen to know the best card stock to use for the Triad cards, thickness included?

For those who are unfamiliar with the cards (though I doubt there are some here who don't know what they are), they are the typical playing cards seem throughout the show in various episodes, often seen in the hands of the pilots of the Raptors and Vipers in the rec. room scenes from the reimagined series of "Battlestar Galactica".

Any suggestions and/or info welcome. :)

I use an 80lb matte stock for my cards. "Search Battlestar Triad to see a pict of all the cards". The stock a little less important than the lamination used. The real cards use a very thin matte lamination. I believe a product called arctic luster is right on with the 80LB stock. If your using a standard glossy lamination 65LB card with 3 mil lam should work fine. Are you looking for playability or display?

Thank you for the info, Mr Morden (I'll definitely check out that post). To answer your question, I'm sort of looking for a bit of both, playability and display. Granted, I haven't found any rules/how-to for playing any of the games with the Triad cards from the new show, I want to be able to keep it open for the possibility I do find rules and other BSG fans who want to play (I've even toyed around with the idea of possibly even do two sets, one for play and one for display).

CB, I have the graphics for the cards, front and back, if you want them, PM me.

thomas;)

Thomas, thank you for the offer, but I've already got the PDF files from you. I'm Daniel, the one who e-mailed you, saying that I read your offer at the RPF but had to find your e-mail from that Star Wars prop replica site you had posted at. It was a few months back. If you don't remember it, it's okay. But thank you for offering again. :D

Hey CB, I was wondering if you could tell me how you went about ordering/customizing your Triad cards? And of course, sharing the PDF file that PheonixVader sent you would be a huge help as well :)

Well, KThrace, I haven't made them (I'm still trying to figure out the best card stock to use, since been busy with school for the past year). But PhoenixVader may still have the PDFs for sharing. If he doesn't have them, I'll check with him to see if its okay for me to share them with you and if he approves of it, then I'll send them right over in a zip file.

Thanks for the quick response, I'll PM him, good luck with school and such. Let me know if you finally get the chance to make them! I'll need pointers :)

You're very much welcome. I'm already done with school, and have recently gotten a job as a set photographer for a documentary film (which may also lead to a long time position for the same production company). I'll definitely let you know if and how it goes with mine. :)

Is it possible to have this PDF please so I can print out the cards?

Also; is it the MAYAN numbering cards or the pyramid number cards?

I prefer the mayan cards with the mayan numberals in the center!

I was also lucky enouph to download the pdf but I noticed that the cylon jokers are missing. If you run agoogle search for the official rules pdf it shows them there.
