Question for the horror movie (maybe TV)guys - trying to identify a movie

Heya guys, okay, plenty moons ago I watched a horror movie, or a tv show maybe with individual stories, it had something similar to the movie THE STUFF, it was like a melted marshmellow stuff fell in top of a house, and there was a family traped, and they were running out of air, and the temperature was going high...I honestly had been looking for that movie FOREVER! Era, I dont know, but probably late 80s begening of the 90s when I watched it.
