Ok.... I was looking at my new AP helmet. I was just in awe of it, since its the closest I have ever come to the real thing that I have ever seen. I noticed something I never saw on my RT-MOD helmet. There is a visible line going from the corner of the mouth to the end of the faceplate. I turned it around and looked inside and the line is very sharp and runs from both corners of the mouth part to the outsides. It made me wonder.... were the moulds two part???? It sure looks like it to me. Anyway, I thought that was interesting. Does anybody know?

OK here's a pic

I'm sorry to tell, but that isn't an AP helmet. That's 100% SDS.... :eek

I know, but they essentially the same. It could be almost any ST helmet. the detail is greater on the SDS, AP, Gino, TE, though.....Its not my pic, I just borrowed it :)

Anyway, what do you think?

:lol :lol

The "problem" you have is just a sharp pull. :D

The face plate is ONE part. That sharp line is just the shape of the face plate. Sometimes ( 3rd/4th generation) it's (a lot) softer.
