I’ve been reading up on silk screening and was wondering… is silk screening on plastic like silk screening on fabric? I assume that using the proper inks, frames, screens, squeegee, etc. would provide a pretty good result of silk screening a design on plexi or other plastics.
I was looking into getting into it as a small time hobby. I know it can be costly with all the inks and what not, but I figure tinkering around with some DIY set-ups could be fun and messy-awesome. I thought I’d start off with some simple one-to-three color items like the door button panels on ST:TNG. Blue and white on black plexi in simple shapes with maybe some small lettering, that kind of thing.
