question about silicone casts

Just wondering if anyone may have some input on this. I plan pouring silicone into a mold to make something appear like flesh but will have to do it in 2 steps, so in sense there will be 2 layers of silicone. My question is, before i spend the money on the silicone and materials, will there be a seam there where the 2 layers meet? if so can it be sanded smooth to make it appear like 1 piece or is there a different method of smoothing, or will there be no visible seam? I hope that's clear.

What are you casting? One piece mold, or two piece?

i was under the impression we kind of keep things secretive until pics posted here lol, but lets suppose it was a limb, and part of the reason for 2 layers is the way the supports to hold it up will be put inside require it to be done in 2 steps. If i need to get more specific I can

I completely understand if you don't want to give it away until you are ready to show it off, I am the same way. If you want to PM me the details a little better, I'll answer as best I can. I'm just having trouble understanding exactly what you mean.
