Question about PEGASUS War of the Worlds (2005) Tripod model

Hello,

I'm looking to buy that model from pegasus but was wondering if someone would have the EXACT height of the model, as I want to fit it in an Ikea Detolf shelf which has a maximum of 15 inch high.

I read that it's ABOUT 15 inch, but obviously would hope that it's under that.

Mine is 15 3/4 to the tops of the spikes. You won't get it on a 15" shelf...

I guess I can always lift one of the glass up with screws and what not.

I wonder if it's possible to heat the legs and slightly bend them to make is shorter?

that's actually a genius idea! Not sure how I would sculpt the "water" though. I'll think about it.
