Question about Licensed Stargate Zat'nik'tel replicas

Howdy! First post as I FINALLY caught an open registration period!

I have a question for those who have licensed Stargate Zat'nik'tel replicas which are said to have been cast from the props from the show.

I recently nabbed one originally sold by Legends Memorabilia off of eBay as they close out their prop items. When I got it I was surprised to find it is lopsided when looked at from the top. Also, are they actually the correct size as they do not fit in my screen used holsters as well as they should(the zat is smaller than it seems like it should be)?

I think the Zats changed over the life of Stargate.

I have a Lightspeed replica and it looks straight on.

Lightspeed used different people to make the replicas, I had three lightspeed versions, and while all made from a master from the show, differed slightly

Th zat gun sold by Legend Memorabilia is a copy made from a mold made by a used screen one.

Besides the changing iterations of the Zats over the years (air, spring, and servo operated) that probably varied slightly in size. Holster styles changed too. So I wouldn't be surprised that a hard resin Zat may not fit spot on. Keep in mind too most of the time the holsters had soft rubber stunts in them too.

The legends/lightspeed zats are cast from the master of the stunt closed versions for the show, they were all hard foam, no resin, the holster you have might be for a functioning zat, I've held them and they do differ in size

Legends made two different sizes of prop. The smaller one came in a red box I think. The full size one is still for sale on their web page and has a darker box.

Legends are hard resin, never had a lightspeed zat so dunno about them. From the documentaries on the season sets I know they used hard and soft foam rubber zats..... And I think the zats so far sold by Propworx were all hard foam rubber except for 1.

Yea, the ones that were liscenced were all resin, but were made from the molds for the hard foam versions, most all the screen used closed zats are hard foam, not resin
