Queen Facehugger

After seeing it come up in the other facehugger thread, and not wanting to derail it, I figured I'd start a new one... I purchased this kit from ebay about 3 years ago and its been sitting in the box ever since... Its a fairly large kit, measuring about 44" and have been trying to free up some room on a wall to hang it, that and the fact of I want to buy an airbrush to paint it....

It does have a few air bubbles but nothing too serious.. I came with thin sheets of latex for the webbing around the fingers, but I figured that it would rot away within a few years, so will probably look to transparent vinyl....

I know its not 100% accurate, most noticably the tail, but thats nothing that can't be reworked

I was looking at that piece a while back. Had thought about having the additions sculpted over a Halcyon vinyl Hugger, byt this looks pretty cool. Is it "normal" resin or the polyester stuff?

Anybody know who may have had these and if they are still available?

Halcyon, I think, was the American producer/distributor of the Japanese Tsukuda kits. They pop up on eBay from time to time. The queen version is exceedingly hard to get, iirc.

Don't know if this one is one of those. The cast looks good. I wouldn't worry about the air-pockets... just make 'em a part of the paint-job! :thumbsup

Never really liked this design - prefer the regular one more. Also... it was used as the facehugger that "hugged" the ox... and not Ripley. At least that's how it appeared to me.

Well, once they decided to remove the Ox and add the dog, they no longer needed a hugger that big, hence the cut, and the belief that Ripley was attacked by the normal sized one

I recently mentioned to a female friend of mine who has only seen Alien once or twice, that the beast was called a "facehugger", and she thought that was hilarious. :rolleyes

Im waiting for the new Broadway play."The Facehugger Monologues" to hit...

Subtle, but some will get it...

That is a repop of Grey Zon's queen. The original was a dark gray resin and the body was hollow cast.

Me too. LOL. One of these days I will build it.......one of these days.
