ok so i went ahead and made a few templates for the knee area out of scrap paper. and taped them up on what i have for the boot already. it should make my morning a lil easier. in theory..
the pics are kinda washed out but you get the idea.

still need to add the circles for the pods. but all in all im happy with how the knees turned out. now its time to assemble the other knee and start planning the thighs out

heres some pics of how i get em on. theres a button snap on the top corner of the back flap of the snake gaurd. also notice the velcro, thats there to hold the plates down on the side that opens.

thanks paul! the snake gaurds were used when i worked on a ranch in south texas. it pretty much keeps a snake from biting you in the ankle/shin/calf/knee zone. heres a link. http://snakeguards.com/ its not the exact model i used(my bro gave em to me along time ago) but there's a demo vid there. the ones i use are plastic.

btw i picture you as the worlds most interesting guy everytime i read your posts. :lol

its a peavey!(wish it was a marshall) and i blew the speakers about 10 years ago..:lol i cant bring myself to throw it away. i always wanted to make a fishtank outta it.

there is a set almost exactly like the ones i used with the knee guard(same color too)

im hoping after i get done with all of this i can get some sorta printable templates together. (in saying that, if someone wants todo it for me that would be even awsomer. i can just send them what i have and make what i freehanded.) and yes rattle cans at the moment. i hoping when i get it done maybe giving the paint an over haul(smoothing where rivets are and a fresh coat of auto paint)

ok finished the majority of the thigh templating today well beside the silver part on the front of the thigh any who heres some pics. im sure its a bit confusing with all the old pep lines on the paper. youll get the idea. i hope

all i good time my friend! just painted the red on the thigh, waiting for it to dry then ill put the silver on it. definitaly will be posting pics soon. i ran outta rivets and the store is out too.. one more thigh togo. should go pretty quick, im just gonna flip over the templates i made and go from there.:cheers

went ahead a gave the thigh a quick spray so everyone gets a better idea of how its gonna look. not too shabby.

still need to clean the red paint off of the rivets in the back.
