here ya go. this is it thus far. i removed the arc reactor because im gonna upgrade mirror that reflects the leds. as for the helmet:unsure we will just call it "battle damaged" :lol im going to pep another one once the legs are finished. for a first pep this hemlet isnt too bad. the suit looks more filled out when worn. the curved peices on the side plates use the pressure from the ab plates straps to curve the side plates( i hope that makes sense:confused) .

Looking great so far! Its all coming together quite nicely! Remember the foamies gloves I was telling you about? check my facebook, I uploaded a pic of it last night. just cheap cotton gloves, sheet foam and latex fabric paint for the joints.
I can make some templates for you to use to get the gist of how it's done.

lol it kinda scared me earlier when i walked around the corner and saw it. standing there with that "when are you going to finish me?" look on his face.

yeah i remember, im thinking that im going to use the lips of the trashcans for finger plating. and do a simular type of gauntlet to what hamsterstyle is doing http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=86074, just not so complex.

No I understand. Hell can be a lot of places Right now its the room I'm renting (20 degrees hotter than the rest of the house). You'd be surprised how many clubs will do street-side fencing to attract attention to the sport though. I guess cause it usually works

On a more on-topic note though. OUTSTANDING.

Question though, on the rivets for the shoes (I haven't gotten to that point yet myself so I'm wondering) did you pre-drill the shoe itself or just try an poke stuff through?
I'm wondering and trying to figure if there's a way of getting things riveted on the shoe without making them a potential total pain to actually wear later.

on the fencing, i live in a small town and these guys were battling in my neighborhood. i was like wtf?

back to build, i predrilled all the plates and drilled the shoes as well. with the thickness of the skate shoe i cant even notice the rivets. i believe i ancored the plating to the actual shoe in 2-3 places. the rest of the pieces are attached to those plates and the snakeguards. with a thinner shoe it would be easier to get the rivets through the cloth. plus make sure you use the rivet backs when you attach the plates to the shoes or anything cloth like( i used them on 98% of all the rivets i used for a stronger hold).

why thank you kind sir thanks, with the pep im just not happy with the turn out i feel like i could have done better. no worries i have more resin so i will do another.. as far as suiting up goes, it doesnt take that long i just need my girl to fasten me up in the back and shes been busy with the kiddo. and the thighs are on the way. i was trying to finish the boots up today but i ran out of rivet backs so im on hold until this evening.

heres a pic of the back of the boots so far. i need to ad another plate to the back. edit: need to touch up the paint still.

im a little behind(kids came down for the weekend at the last minute). so i need to touch up the sliver sections of the boots once all the plating is done. all thats left for the boots is the knee guards. with that in mind, i managed to add a few more plates this morning.

im sure you would! :lol once i mask off the plated areas and retouch the silver, the plates will stand out more. i need to wait for the paint to dry a little more first or the tape will take the paint off. the humidity here sucks so its taking a lil longer than expected.

thanks paul! the snake gaurds were used when i worked on a ranch in south texas. it pretty much keeps a snake from biting you in the ankle/shin/calf/knee zone. heres a link. http://snakeguards.com/ its not the exact model i used(my bro gave em to me along time ago) but there's a demo vid there. the ones i use are plastic.

btw i picture you as the worlds most interesting guy everytime i read your posts. :lol
