QMx Vengence Artisan Replica

My eyes popped out of my head when I got the email for this...seriously it took me hours to get my eyes back in!

Like you said no offense to the modelers but holy smokin rat fart! 10K?

$10,000?
If I had $10,000 to put into a Star Trek model I would donate it to the group (if there was one and if it were going to happen) to have the Enterprise filming model that sits in the gift shop of the Smithsonian Air and Space museum re-stored.

I'd buy a micro machine version of the Vengeance. If I had $10K to spend, I'd have Steve Neill build me something impressive.

Seriously? The ugliest ship ever in Trek for $10K. No offense to the modelers, they did a great job but I ink e marketing guys are on crack if they think people want this.

People will still buy it ;p I mean ppl are buying the other Artisan stuff (though it's a mistake I won't make again) enough to keep pumping them out :< Maybe not like a ton but apparently enough. It's kind of like yocake, it's kind of wtf but at $8 per cupcake with some soft serve on it what they make from a few sales keeps em in business :p

There's a sucker born every minute. Kudos to Qmx for knowing that.

I agree, Jason, and can see someone paying $10K for the Enterprise D for nostalgia sake, but this ship is a one off, not very nice looking, and on screen for what, 10min? They would have been better making a $6000 Voyager or even less expensive Defiant.

Not a fan of the model (or the price), but the lighted display case is interesting:

I do like that display case, it would look kinda neat for a lot of displays not just trek. You could get stuff etched into it to look like a digital display.
