QMx Is Live! Check It Out!

Sweet. I'll have to pick up Mal's gun, and probably the Devonian hand from Creature from the Black Lagoon. Great stuff.

The Creature hand is going to be amazing. Big, too.

The sounds bites however have got to go. That is so 1999.

That's exactly why there's a little button to turn the sound off. :p

Here's an updated photo of the cash:

Pre-ordered the cash packet and Mal's gun.

Now, to see if they'll let me pick 'em up when they come in (as I live less than 15 minutes from Royersford.).

so.... does anyone know what the packet includes if you arent a fan club member or is it somehting that is fan club only?

Hey guys. Here's the latest info from Qmx.

We wanted to drop you a line and let you know what has been going on. We have definitely not been sitting stillÂ…thatÂ’s for sure.

First off, the QMx website is now live. We had a few delays, but the result is a much better site, so it was definitely worth it. We suggest taking a spin over to www.quantummechanix.com and taking a look around. We think you will be very impressed.

We also wanted to say that the site you see right now is what we call “Phase 1”. Over the next month or so, we will finish “Phase 2”, which will feature a number of additional features, images, information, etc.

We also have collected over 25 hours of footage of our trips to the movie and television sets, interviews with special effects staff, CGI artists, writers, prop makers, graphics artists, technicians, and even the wonderful Forrest Ackerman of monster classics fame. We will start uploading the first part of these multi-part interviews soon. After that, they will be updated regularly, so check back often.

We will also be adding much better product images, turn-around shots, a zoom featureÂ…all kinds of neat stuff as new prototype images become available. So please donÂ’t assume what is there now, is done. FAR from it.

Over the next few months, we will also be adding the following:

-Product diaries: Ongoing logs showing the “real-time” progress of upcoming products as they are developed.

-Trivia contests (good ones) with audio and video clips. The questions will be written by fans, so there won’t be any goofy “What is the name of Mal’s ship in Serenity?” questions…

-Letters, suggestions, and testimonials from customers and fans, posted right on the site.

-Show us your collection section. We will feature your prop stuff for millions of people to see.

-PodcastsÂ…yes we said Podcasts. You can send in questions or suggestions to us and each month, we will choose several and answer them on a broadcast. If your question is chosen, you win free stuff.

-Golden Ticket awards: Some of our products will have golden tickets inside, awarding the winner with awesome prizes like original production art and props. This contest starts off with our very first product, the Serenity Fan Club Limited Edition money pack.

-A link to our eBay store featuring prototypes, one-of-a kind items, specials, etc.

-Easter Eggs, hidden agendas, etcÂ…

-Easy payment plans for most of our products from DAY ONE. ‘Nuff said.

By the end of the year, the site should be at “full-steam” and will literally be updated on a daily basis, so don’t think because you saw the site on a Monday, that it will be the same on Friday. It won’t be.

*Note: Any order placed using PayPal requires the user to complete the transaction at the Paypal site within 24 hours, otherwise the order will be cancelled[/b]

Does this mean that you have to pay in full immediateley, ie before item is shipping?

Welp, I pre-order myself a Mal pistol. I ain't takin no chances with this "only 1500 will be made" stuff. I was wanting to hold out to see is one with a working trigger would ever get done for a reasonable fee but this right here looks and sounds about as great as it can get without moving parts.

Though, I had thought they had originally quoted the price at being a bit lower than this. Am I just remembering wrong?

Chris,

The "Fan Club Exclusive" packets are available to everyone for a short period of time. You do not have to be a member of any club to purchase them. We effectionatley named this version, "The fan club Exclusive" as a tip of the hat to the Serenity fan base.

Again, it's just something special we wanted to offer out of the gate; A way of saying thank you to everyone who has been so enthusiastic about our Serenity line.

One more thing. I forgot to mention; the exclusive packs are being made to order so once the special is over, that's it. There won't be any extras printed.

They won't be offered for long at all.

In fact, I'd say it's a real good idea to order as soon as possible...just sayin. ;)

Omx is OMG.

I love the fact that Steve Dymszo will be out there doing his thing again. I'm looking forward to some very cool new props.
