A while back for a thread on another site I took some pics comparing my MR QGJ, Stormpath QGJ saber, and then try and line them up with the Chronicles pics just for kicks. Anyways I thought people here might be interested.
A few notes before I begin - the pics aren't going to line up completely, I'm not an expert, the camera I'm using is nothing special so the lens will cause some distortions, blah, blah, blah - but this is just for fun so hopefully all that won't matter too much.
I've used 1024 pixel wide pics - sorry if that causes scroll bars for some, but I figured the extra resolution may be useful.
In all pics it's the MR on top, the chronicles pic in the middle, and the Stormpath on the bottom.
Of note in pic 1: Notice the pommel differences that have been so talked about. The MR pommel looks to be too long against the Chronicles pic. The SP appears to have this nailed much better. The red button is also different between the three. IMO the MR gets this closer to the Chronicles pic than the SP, as the custom's button is a bit too small and seated directly on it's support with no slight gap just below it. The neck of the saber is interesting - the large 'bulge' is very different between the MR and SP- the slope on the MR version is very shallow. Also look just below this and the band appears much too wide on the MR, the SP gets this section much closer to the Chronicles version I think. However above the 'bulge' and below the emitter the two bands are better replicated on the MR IMO.

Of note in pic 2: The holes in the sleeve on the back are different. The hole closest to the emitter is clearly longer on the MR and Chronicles pic than SPs. Showing through this hole you can clearly see three of the ridges from the other side, but only two on SPs. The MR also has an extra groove further up visible in that hole. I can't see this in the Chronicles pic though. Finally notice the finish on the sleeve of the saber in the Chronicles pic seems to be more shiny than the MR version (which is matte). Now this could be lighting etc. However I do like the shiny finish of the sleeve on SPs which matches nicely to the MR Obi-Wan TPM EE that I have.

Of note in pic 3: Not much to say about this one, other than that all three sabers look great

Which one do I have on display? After a few weeks of having them both it's Stormpaths version all the way. I love the way it looks next to my MR Obi EE B)
Thanks to Stormpath and MR for two great versions of a fantastic understated saber
