I saw this today, and it was freaking AWESOME!

It isn't the most plot driven movie of all time, but man, if you go into it expecting marvel comics meets Friday the 13th and robocop, you basically end up with the best gun porn to ever cross the silver screen.

I loved the S&W .500, the knives, and the fact that he used every weapon he loaded and carried, but that little mini crossbow was just awesome.

I am pretty sure it isn't a found product, but does anyone know if the prop maker has a website with some information? I haven't been able to find anything and didn't get a chance to sit through the credits (stupid theater stopped rolling shortly after the credits started).

If you are a Punisher fan and just want to see Castle wreck people for ~2 hours, check this film out!

If you happen to know who made the props for the film, or have some info on the little crossbow gadget, shoot me an email :)

I just saw it for the second time tonight. Growing up as a Punisher fan, I liked it a lot. Much more like the comics than that Tom Jane version.

Ray Stevenson played a great Frank Castle.

I view the Jane version as the "beginning" Punisher, where he was able to do this really complex and complicated plan to ruin Saint's life.

This version is 4 years later, and he doesn't have time to BS around anymore. It isn't as personal, so he just loads up and goes to town :)

Ray Stevenson looks like he stepped out of Punisher MAX, and that is a huge help to the movie.

It's a definate buy when it's out on DVD.

I still wish I could find an airsoft of the S&W 500 he had though :lol , that was one hell of a hog leg.

Loved the movie myself...you did know it was a reboot right man? That is how they got the origin right this time, none of that whole extended family massacre in Puerto Rico crap or the movie taking place in sunny Florida LOL! As for the Crossbow I thin it had to have been a custom job I have never seen anything like it.

Oh yea, total remake, but I thought it was nice they threw in the "4 years" bit. Not much of a nod but still nifty ;)

I am about 99% sure that the crossbow was a custom jobby. I just can't track down which company made it, and if they have an online photo gallery :(
