I'm thinking about putting together an airsoft pulse rifle because the resin kit i have is disappointing. I think i can get a cheap thompson, but any tips or sources for the rest of the kit, the only one i know of is the one on www.monstersinmotion.com and they want 500 bucks, i was hoping to find a kit a little cheaper? am i just dreaming?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated

I think you have only two options.

For a shooting airsoft, go to: www.airsoftextreme.com

They have the kit on sale for 355.

There are some issues with the kit, but several A.Legacy members

offer solutions for it.

For a static PR, go to: http://p067.ezboard.com/bmatsucorp

He's the resin God of PRs. A lot of moving parts and excellent detailing.

That's my two cents.

Hey,
Does anyone know if the Monsters in Motion pulse rifle kit they have for preorder is any good? I'm looking to get a pulse rifle and want a good one.

It looks like the same kit offered by Airsoft Extreme.

Man you guys trying to make me go broke. I already have 2 swords I'm getting in the next few months and your tempting me with the pulse rifle lol.

I recentlly went to AEX, and they said some of the last few kits that came in,

they had to reject because of poor fitting. They are temp. out of stock.

Here my recommendations now-

Price Scale:
highest G+P airsoft (not that bad if you use a clone thompson)
mid Matsuo (latest spas kit has a lot of moving parts, very nice)
low Spat (he just made a new resin kit, and looks damn good)

MIM has two types. They have a garage resin kit, and an overpriced
G+P airsoft kit.

So the best one for the money is the G+P airsoft kit? will they be getting more in? Also what thompson would you need for it? is the monsters in motion set metal or resin? I just want a nice metal and resin one that has a counter that decreases as the trigger is pulled. I'm just not sure what to look for or ask for. Thanks again for the tips.

everyone i have talked to {ie mim and aex} says they are suppose to be getting more in ,but thay also said they were suppose to have them weeks ago, so who knows. there are 2 studio 2 kits up on ebay rgiht now. you need the tm thompson for the metal body. some kits come with a static counter some have a counter that you hook through the motor ,and i believe the g&p kit gets connected to the barrel some how and actually counts when the bb's fly, anyway from what i have seen the g&p's look the nicest , everyone says get a matsucorp but he isn't very good at getting back to people or maybe i should say me

Thanks for the info. So where do you get the G&P kit? and where do you get the Thompson? Thanks again.

I wouldn't be too concerned; I imagine Matt has a lot on his plate right now between completing placed orders, taking new ones, his other job, and probably dealing with weather related house issues... Out of many vendors that I have read about far as business transactions, Matt is almost certainly the least likely to default/foul up on one...

My $.02...

Very true, Matt wont foul up on a order, the best to do buisness with!!!

My take...

A friend of mine recently got the G&P Kit direct from Hong Kong and asked me to build it up for him over an ACM Thompson.

While putting it together, I found out that certain plastic parts actually needed to be trimmed down to fit the metal components. And that plastic isn't a good strong material to use for a metal stock support. The CD guide was picture helpful but not in sequence...lots of trial and error there.

One thing you might wanna do if you somehow acquire the G&P Kit is to exchange the standard shotgun shell for a 'accurate' looking grenade round.

As for Matt, he's good people and will always come thru for you. And yes, he's been sick lately so some time is expected.

Good luck and stay safe,

Tim.

I am not saying anything bad about matsu , i didn't order a kit from him, i wanted to he just never got back to me ,,sorry if it sounded differently ..and l have not had hands on a g&p , the kit i have is an old mim from what i was told its all resin and it took alot of sanding and tapping ,but its sturdy and accurate , it looks similar to the studio 2's on ebay

No worries bro, none was directed at you. It's just that some of us, that have dealt with Matt, understands that at times, reality will kick in and he'll be out for abit.

Anyways, post some pics of your PR once you get it done. I'm currently working on mine and trying to locate a SPAS 12 Cage. :)

Stay safe,

Tim.

I've had the airsoft kit and I gotta say... it feels a bit "creaky" when put together. Just didn't feel like it would hold together. It also has a few glaringly inaccurate details, like the barrel vents (unless they've been upgraded). So I sold it and got a static resin kit instead (that's going to get a metal upgrade one of these days...).

The airsoft version has a sensor built into the barrels that tells the counter when BBs are passing through it, thus making it count down. That's kinda cool of course but if you're not interested in the "airsoft" part I'd recommend you go for one of the other kits people are recommending. Sure... the inaccuracies and creakiness on the airsoft can be fixed and all... but when you look at the total cost it's a little pricey for a unique fixer-upper opportunity.
