Pulse Rifle Front block

Working on building a pulse rifle and need some help. Ive been trying to make a front block from scratch. ive tried wood with three failed attempts, Bought a resin plastic one from ebay....horribly misshapen. does anyone know a good material to use for this. dont have a machine shop so aluminum is probably not going to happen. If any one has an extra id be willing to purchase for a reasonable price. Thanks

Does Phil S. not make the front blocks any more? Is buying a machined metal one out of your price range? I don't think they were that much if I recall correctly. Check out this site:

I made mine out of layered acrylic.

I thought of something similar.. I have some thick plastic from another project or i was going to make a cardboard mold and use a liquid called envirotech. when it dries it hardens like a clear arcrylic... How did you do yours?
