Well it has been a long long time since I have posted, but I got the interest back. Built a Pulse Rifle using "real" (Thompson, Remington) guns and parts from a half dozen individuals from the RPF to make this a reality back in 2001. Bad part about it it has been packed away since then, but I would like to display it,. Weights a ton,

So any ideas on making a display that will hold the weight.

Gracias, been trollign the last couple of says, mostly new "faces" and a few old timers.....

Seeing your name is a blast from the past. I don't have anything to add vis-a-vis the pulse rifle but I'm just remembering buying a Vader ROTJ saber from you off of ebay and learning that you were just around the corner at Camp Lejeune at the time so I picked it up in person. I still have that saber in my collection actually!

Good luck with the rifle.

Yes I remember, small world. Went to Boston then retired from the military and moved to Florida. Yup those ROTJ were fun. You still have it? MR surpassed those.

I use one GW's steel PR racks for my first gen SD. The gun weights 25lbs and the rack holds it easily. It took me 2 years to find one but it was well worth the wait. Before I found one I bugged Gary about doing another run of these but I don’t think he was all that interested since they were a huge pain to have made. I would hold out for one of these. :thumbsup

My other "all metal" PR will be mounted on custom cute industrial fiberglass grating. I purchased this from an RPF member so I have no idea how to get another one. I still need to figure out how to mount the gun to it

Here's mine. Constructed of MDF and pine with an 'egg crate' light diffuser and 'bicycle hooks'. :) Damn thing weighs a ton too...

Oh yeah, I still have it. I haven't seen the MR version but I'll take your word it's well done, though I'm in no hurry to trade up. :)

Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time... A long time...

Who you calling old timer!?

I always like the original Icons idea of the gun sitting on the grate flooring piece of Hadley's Hope. Add a face hugger...

no suggestions (yet) regarding a display, but im in the middle of building a "real parts" pulse rifle, care to share some pics of your build up ????? and lots of em (can never have too many pics) :love

cheers :thumbsup

Eagle, your is amazing! However, I bet mine was cheaper, $3.99 pegboard from Kmart and leftover parts...

if you look in the background at the weapons rack, it looks as if they used galvanized trench drain covers for the racking :love maybe you could use something along those lines, depending how you want to display your PR you could display it in a verticle (slight angle) position ???
