I just made sure I cut some vent holes/slits into the mould after to release the gasses.
The pivot plate was a bugger to cast because of the shape, I got a few tiny blemishes on the top face but nothing I can’t live with.

how flexible is the pivot plate? will the pewter allow it to act springy?

It’s a replica mate, so long as I can get it to hold in place I’m happy..the safety ‘works’ and it cocks and dry fires but it’s mainly about aesthetics than having it fully functional...

Just wanted to add my make. It was my first large scale print and I didn't have an airbrush when I made it so it is not perfect. I do plan on making another sometime and adding the digital counter, but I've got a few other projects that I need to complete first.

Just need to pewter cast the front part of the bolt and I’m cooking with gas..

The ‘back stroke’ action, sound and lack of a working trigger was really playing on my mind so I put my mad genius hat on..
After a little tinkering I’ve managed to shoehorn the Airsoft trigger assembly into the resin/pewter Remington receiver, I just need to make a few cuts/holes at the father-in-law’s shed this morning and I think I’ve cracked it...
Plus who doesn’t like some nice back stroke action..?
