Psn online play is back up

PSN online play and limited services are back up. The store will be up may 31st.

Yeah, I tried to ge on psn and after about a 20 minute update i tried to log on and it said my password was no longer valid. It said it would send me an email to choose a new password on my pc..... No email has been sent yet.

Your supposed to login and change it in the next screen.

Nope, I got the same message and it said it had to be done from a PC. I FINALLY got the email, updated the PW and was off and running. No more annoying pop-up to login while using Netflix.

I read they were also slowly rolling this back out, US first, other countries slowly afterward. I 'm in Canada and used my PS3 last night got the login screen, then the notification I needed a new password, then an error screen.

Apparently they didn't anticipate so many folks trying to get on at once.

I think they were probably firing everyone involved and training new people while making sure their butts are covered in case someone tries this again.

what are YOU GUYS talking about? I havent been able to do jack. PSN doesnt work, store doesnt work, netflix doesnt work, online play doesnt work....

I got the update, changed my password and everything works. I just can't get on the store obviously.

They had to take the password system down for a little while as someone slipped in a way to hack it.
