Got a question for all the suit and mask painters out there. What do you prefer to use pros aide or latex paint base? Ive been using the latex paint base for years on mine and I know alot prefer prosaide. Ive been hearing conflicting things on the prosaide that its pretty much for foam latex appliances that will be worn once and tossed. Not for repeated flexing like on a latex suit. But there are people that have been using it for years and I was woundering if youve had any problems with paint pealing off. Some FX places say there basicly the same thing pros aide just stays tacky for a long period of time until you powder it or seal it with clear coat. Which is nice when you use the FW inks on them and all the professional FX places say you really only need to apply it once to grab the suit ot mask and then can use straight ink or paints without adding anymore pros aide or latex paint base from that point on. Im used to the paint base and have only used prosaide once years ago on some of my first suit. But I have a suit I was gonna work on this weekend and am out of latex paint base. But have like 3 bottles of prosaide. Any thoughts or opinions Im looking to hopefully out do anything Ive done in the past on this one.
