props you will never sell?

I guess it would be my Master Replicas AT-AT Signature Edition. Coming from Eastern Europe, Star Wars was like a light tower of freedom for people here, force to live under the iron fist of the communist regime. I always dreamed of having 3 things: a 1:1 Stormie, studio scale AT-AT and TIE Fighter (didn't know about studio scale back then but wanted the best renditions).

On this AT-AT I added 4 custom made plaques autographed by Julian Glover (General Veers), Ian Liston (AT-AT Driver), Richard Bonehill (Snowtrooper) and Doug Robinson (Snowtrooper), plus a plaque with AT-AT info, next to the original plaque signed already by Phil Tippett (visual effects producer - stop motion animator for AT-AT's in ESB). I like this way more than the V.1/LE.

I almost feel like I'll never part with ANY props from my collection!

But the ones that I definitely consider "keepers" are the following:
  • My Anodized Aluminum Green Lantern Power Ring Replicas made by the RPF's Megatron! Took me YEARS to see the dream of owning them realized, and they're far too rare for me to ever let them go now that I have them! :love
  • All of the various DC Direct Green Lantern Power Ring props that I own! While these are fairly easy to replace, the values go up steadily, and I like knowing that in almost all cases, I'm the original owner and got them at the ISSUE PRICE. :cool
  • My 14 K Gold Version 1 Sinestro Yellow Power Ring. Bought this on eBay about a decade ago from a seller that long ago stopped making any DC Comics rings, and I just might be BURIED with it on my finger! ;)
  • My DC Direct Green Lantern Power Battery Props. I have both the original Hal Jordan Power Battery Prop from at least a decade ago, and the Movie Power Battery Prop from this year! These are gonna stay in my collection until I draw my last breath! :p
  • My one-of-a-kind, custom-made Sinestro Corps Power Battery Prop that was based on one of Ethan Van Sciver's early, unused concepts for the yellow power battery! The design is so cool, Mattel ended up sculpting it to include with some of their action figures, and I bought, on the Bay of E, the only replica of it that I've ever seen offered for sale! And it's staying put where it is, in MY collection! :cool
  • My Star Trek: The Next Generation Phaser Laser Pointer. It's an officially licensed phaser prop replica that fires REAL LASER BEAMS! In other words, it's the coolest damn Star Trek collectible ever made! 'Nuff said! :cool
  • My rare, possibly one-of-a-kind PROTOTYPE for a Galoob Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers water pistol designed to look like the blasters in the show! There's precious little in the way of collectibles based on Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers, my favorite cartoon of the 1980s, and I'm still amazed that I managed to grab up such a rare piece on eBay a few years ago! Now if I could only find one of the promotional Galaxy Rangers BADGES that was sold at the New York Comic Con a few years ago to market the release of the Complete Series on DVD. :unsure
If I think of any others, I'll add them later.

The MR AT AT is on my wish list is it big in real life? got the Falcon which is superb. Wonder if they will make anymore ships. Some of the bits look very delicate on the at at though.

I have a screen used bill from 'Serenity' that was given to me by the artist Geoff Mandel, and a screen used Firefly series bill that was a gift from Karl 'Badger'. The fact that they were gifted to me means that they stay forever.

Gotta be my Boba Fett (SE) costume. I started it about 9 years ago and have continuously tweaked and altered it to what it is now... this can never be sold. (My wife may have other plans though) :confused

I am glad to say that while I still have my Starkiller Obi TPM, most of my saber collection has been bought, sold, and replaced by better models. So For now, the props I would prefer not to sell unless it came down to a life and death scenario would be (still) My Obi TPM, Then my Russ Obi ANH followed by my MFX Sonic. If I ever obtain a Matt Smith Sonic, you can bet that will also make this list.

In the almost 10 years I've been on the RPF I've only sold 3 pieces in my collection. A Parks Graflex to cenobyte, a Parks MPP to GINO, and a real British rifle grenade to Anakin Starkiller. other then that I've bought pieces and collected.

I think if the chips were down and my family needed the money, I would be willing to sell anything in my collection except one piece- my real parts Obi-Wan lightsaber. I'm looking forward to passing this one down to one of my kids someday, probably my daughter. Like Funky said, I guess if someone offered me stupid money for it I'd sell it knowing I could re-buy those parts and still have a profit, but it would have to be really stupid money for me to part with it.

although i'm not a hilt kinda guy i have to say that ob1 is pretty nice, i can see why you would want to keep it.

it looks VERY authentic!

This is probably one of the last pieces i would ever sell. It's the closest this po boy will ever get to a screenused Terminator piece. Although not screenused it was one of the first castings taken from a mold of one of the animatronic T800's from T2 by SWS for a lifesize project LFS was going to do. It has chunks of the animatronics foam attached and has blood stains all over it. Still trying to figure out the best way to display it. Probably going to make an aluminum shadow box and have it held by terminator fingers. Then put some behind the scenes pics of the animatronic next to it.

Probebly never sell a couple screen used props from the movie Serenity.
I really enjoyed Firefly (still do) and was happy to see them make the movie. :)

Nothing is sacred... nothing. If it comes down to choosing between props and family? Shouldn't even be a doubt.

I got to think'n....
The props I would hesitate to sell the most are the ones I made myself, since I know how much work went in to building them and hard to convey that to the buyer....

Back when Playmates came out with the Next Gen. Tricorder, I modified a few with LED's (who hasn't). :)
But when Voyager introduced their tricorder, I had to see how close I could come to that tricorder, by modifying the Playmates.
I think this would be another prop I just can't sell:
