Propper's dream show... The Lost Room

Dudes,

I just started watching this show last night via Netflix... owcha magowcha!

This show is a prop scavenger's wet dream! ALL found objects (except perhaps the ever popular Motel Room Key... wow.

Anybody started assembling the list? Just curious.

I have the clock and the hotel key. I figure those were the most prominent.

The others would be nifty if I happened to come across them, but I don't think I'd actively chase them down.


EDIT: Well, it appears I have more props than I thought :lol. I was just checking out that site posted above and saw what other people have. Turns out, I also have the comb, the pencil, the pen and the cuticle scissors (I use them for working on models).

The Lost Room was fantastic definitely one of my favourite shows ever.

RPF member paulv70 has an awesome collection http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=22769 and has a lot to do with the community.

I collected a few bits and bobs - the key, the bus ticket, the pen but never got as far as I would have liked.

I just wish they would have done a second series or a movie :unsure

Well we've watched the first two (very LONG) episodes and we're hooked. Its pretty darned story-driven, but what else could a story like this be? It was a little transparent from square one that his daughter would get caught up, but he needed an impetus to stick himself right in the middle of it all and something to draw him deeper and deeper.

And I love the fact that they "lead with the second act". By the time the cop gets involved, there's an already existing society built up around this stuff.. the objects. Pretty cool. I feel like they aren't fishing but actually have a solid story arc they're telling me about. I never felt that way with say, LOST or X-Files. They both feel like the writers were just making it up as they went along. But this show feels like it has a core, you know?

I may be proven wrong, but I'm enjoying the feel right now.
