Hey, Kids, just a little review on the I, Robot badge that was made by our fellow artisan, Jmtwo.
He did a great job packing this sucker up so there is no fear of it getting damaged and the shipping was fast and efficient. Okay, now that that's out of the way, let's discuss the prop. :love
The ID card is great, very accurate. The badge itself looks pretty good as well. I was a little disapointed as I thought the blue light was going to be much brighter than it is. If you turn it on in a bright room, it's very dim, but you see SOME blue lighting. (obviously, the darker the room the brighter the badge) The button in the back you depress to activate the light has to be constantly pressed to light your badge, you can't turn it on then walk away. But these are minor things and can easily be forgiven. My only real problem is the folding of the 'wallet'. This is pretty much a display only prop as the first thing I did was fold the sucker to close it and tossed it in my pocket to take to a friends house. I don't recommend you doing this with yours as the 'leather' is just glued on and when I opened the wallet again the middle 'leather' started comming unglued as well as on the back where the fold is. If you only plan on displaying it and have no intention on folding it closed, you're fine. If you want this to work like it does in the movie, not so much. All in all I'm pretty pleased. Just the sheer coolness of the piece is worth having and at an extremely affordable price. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give it an 8, and I grade stuff harshly.
Thanks to Jmtwo for offering such a unique piece for our collections. :thumbsup
