Did a 26 inch part 3 style axe to sell, came out great! Has an aged steel look and some rust, just about finished. Will have outdoor pics soon. And yes it is cardboard! :)

could you post a few progress pics on this bad boy, would love to see the making!

Yes, please add some more details about the process. :)

I'm planning to build a boarding axe for my pirate costume and was thinking about pink foam for the axe head. But if cardboard looks that good, maybe I'll think again...

They are are tough to make, and flexible yet sturdy. I don't usually post tutorials as I don't have time and it would take too long to explain all I do. I wish I had that much free time lol. I been refining these for about 3 years now and they get better with each one. I made them so that I could have a safe. light, realistic prop axe to use for costuming, and evem light enough to use for mannequins.

Here are soem mroe I did, and some 36 inch ones. I also do Lampson cardboard replicas as well.

Nice additions, and the weathering looks outstanding!

Are the handles actual wood?

Frozen Frog?
Imageshack blocked anyone not logged into their server from seeing their images. So anyone not logged in would see a frog in an ice cube instead of the intended image.

I guess they have come to their senses and unblock it, as I can see the images now...

Could use one of your axes for DragonCon (Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter). Do you have any for sale?:darnkids

My Madman one I just did may be for sale if the current guy does not get back to me in a few days. Came out great!
