In my mind, the Maul stunt saber is basically tied with the hero version of the same saber for best lightsaber design. While I love the beauty of the hero version's button details, I adore the simplicity of the stunt version and its lack of details.
Once Project M was on its way to production, I figured eking out the Stunt hilt would be a piece of cake. Well, I was wrong! In order to keep a hollow saber with adjustable sound venting AND optional mechanical switch parts, while removing all the elements of the saber that can work as fasteners, you have to do a fair bit of additional engineering. Long story short, the Stunt version is here, it's beautiful, and it's ready for preorder.
The ONE thing we give up is that, at present, it's not designed to be split into two separate hilts. That could possibly be done with the addition of some yet-to-be-designed parts, but at present it's designed and sold as a combo hilt only. It CAN be made to accept electronics, it DOES maintain the adjustable and hidden sound venting of its big brother the Hero saber, it DOES retain 100% accuracy with zero compromises everywhere, it DOES have optional screen-accurate paint (if you order it that way), and it's already in production.
