Production Made Rocketeer Helmets

These Helmets are production made from Design Setters aka the crew that fabricated the Rocketeer helmets for the film. These were fabricated during the same time as the hero helmets with the original molds. The helmet on the right has the same paint used on the hero helmets, and it came with the same lenses. The helmet on the left is a raw casting.

These helmets came directly from a crew member of design setters, and I was given design setters crew shirts and patch.

Did you get this from eBay a couple of weeks ago? I just missed out on bidding on that! Had it watched and forgot to sign in!

haha, Well I am happy you didnt. It would have cost me a lot more. I put a really really high bid on it.

Plus, it worked out for me in the end. I was able to get his only two helmets from him among other things.

Now, I am trying to figure out how to display both together..

Man, I'd kill to own one of those right now..

I heard from someone that the actor who played "the rocketeer" in the movie was like 6'6"/6'7"? Is that correct?

I don't think that's the case. Tiny Ron who played Lothar in the movie might be that tall. Bill Campbell who played Cliff Secord definitely isn't though.

I'm 6' 1" and Bill is a definitely a good piece taller than me. I hung out with him and his brother at a party in LA once. He's gotta be 6' 5" or 6". Had to look up at him.

Seriously? I mean, I figured he was tall as in average height for a "tall" guy... 6'1" or so. Maybe it's just movie magic that fooled me... Interesting.
