Pro Shop X-wing

Has any one that has made an Pro shop X-wing had difficulties with the motors. The s-foil does not open very well, and does not close well either. Than it did not work at all. Than the canopy, that is another screw up. I think I will just scrap the motors and those sound, fx and rewire it with LED´s and fiber optics.

What do you think.

i've chucked so many of those motors in the trash i've lost count, not to mention the couple that have been imbedded in drywall

I agree. Those things are worthless. I used them in the first ProShop I built and they have never worked correctly. I built two more and just used my own electronics: http://www.starwarsmodels.com/xwingps.html

Hi, I´ve been looking at your models. They look awesome. I got the fiberoptics idea from you. Thanks :)

Do your s-foils open with a motor or did you scrapt that all together. I´m pretty sure I will. I was thinking about trying to make a better motor. But that would take longer and a risk that I might loose focus and the X-wing would end up in the box again.

Thanks. :) I actually didn't use the motors at all in the 2nd and 3rd builds. Just not worth the hassle.

I agree.
