Prince Caspian Swords

After seeing the movie I'mn hoping they decide to do a run of Capian swords for the retail market. Peter's sword really doesn't appeal to me but Caspian's was a real nice design. A scaled down version of the huge broadsword carried by the Centuars would be cool aswell.

Anybody have any news when/if these are going to be offered?

i noticed that all the new swords are complex hilt cut and thrust swords....
obviously peter lyons work, you can tell by the large hollow ground main bevels...
Peters sword was the same he had in the first film that MR already did a replica of.

maybe they still have the license....

I would love to see the swords of Caspian and Miraz; they'd make a good addition to Peter's sword and help round out the collection.

And that centaur sword - wow. :eek When Glenstorm pulled his out, I immediately thought, "I don't have space for that, but if they make it, it will be mine." My wife turned and saw the look in my eyes and sighed, knowing exactly what I was thinking. :lol

Incidentally, I got lucky and won the book "The Crafting of Narnia: The Art, Creatures, and Weapons from Weta Workshop" at the theater (the local bookstore was doing a drawing for various prizes), and recommend it highly. There are excellent images of all the armor, along with tons of behind-the-scenes info on the model-making, armor-making, etc. It's $23 at Amazon, and if I hadn't won it, I would pay that in a heartbeat. BTW, not trying to push their site at all, just wanted to throw a price out there in case anyone was interested. :)

Well I know several well known smiths that can do that kind of work for me. But actually in the fall or early next year I will be apprenticing under a local swordsmith. So maybe a few years down the road who knows....

But as of right now, I am working on some designs Narnia inspired.
