Re: Paper prop Thread

Any font experts out there recognise the fonts on this label? I'd like to have a go at re-doing the text.

Re: Paper prop Thread

I have been looking for a thin gloss paper to print labels like this onto.

The high gloss paper all seems to be thick photo stock paper.

What do you guys use to make the look and feel of a real label?

:confused

Thanks,

Re: Paper prop Thread

Here's some close-up pics of the cigarettes used in Grindhouse. The first is the familiar Tarantino Red Apple cigarettes, and the other is Capitol W (not sure if those have history outside of Grindhouse). These might already be out there as 'paper props', not sure... But I had to chance to take pictures of different angles of the pack at the Premiere Props auction, so I thought you guys might like them. (These are large, 1024xsomething images)

Back is the same as the front on both.

Re: Paper prop Thread

Yes it is, I post here the Red Apple softpack, which I found on a free paper prop site, mentioned earlier. And there exist also a "Red Apple Tan", which is also interesting. Do you have pics?

This layout is somewhat tricky, I'll have to print it at 70% of the original size to get real softpack size (I used my fist as a measument on a real softpack, since I didn't want to buy at my supermarket). But what do I use for the silver paper? And what do I stuff with to make it rigid? Where can I get it? Hobby-shop?

Don't have the Tan version... Just this and the Capitol W brand.

As for the pack, I'd just buy a real pack of cigarettes, pull off the clear shrink-wrap, replace the label, and put the shrink wrap back on. That way you have the foil, you have it stuffed with the proper item (these ones I've pictures actually had real cigarettes in them I think, I see a flake of tobacco on the side of the Cap W one), and you get the tax label on the bottom.

And they will smell real, too! :cool

Re: Paper prop Thread

Excellent stuff, thanks for sharing those! I've always wondered on the actual cigs themselves, who made them? And I suppose it totally depends on if they were smoking tobacco or herbal. Kinda' like with the Morleys in X Files - those were herbal and you could see the Morley logo next to the filter. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

Shining Photo

Here's one I posted here some time ago - I cleaned the Overlook writing up using frame captures from the movie...

This'll be slow if your connection's crappy

Been on a little Jurassic Park kick the last few days so I knocked these up on Photoshop, not sure if they've been done before. I couldn't get the font for the numbers quite right, so I'll attach a blank version if anyone wants to give it a go.

They're the things hanging from the rear view mirrors from the jeeps, you just need to laminate some back to back and add some ball-chain stuff to make a hanger.

18 and 29 are used in the arrival sequence on the Island.

Anyone got the blue sun tequila bottle labels they can post up here? Just bought an empty tequila bottle on ebay and need to dress it up :)

The chinese characters are printed back-to-front (flipped). Is that screen accurate? The characters also has absolutely nothing to do with Peach Halves.
