Predators - Royce Costume

One question guys und gals. Were the knife/shotgun shell holders/pouch in a Coyote brown or coyote tan?

I don't know which color was used but I can tell you that there is no such color as coyote tan, coyote brown is a shade of tan/brown that the Marine Corps uses for all of its gear like vest, pouches, and boots. Coyote brown is probably closer to brown than it is tan and any sort of tactical gear or clothing that's tan is, more often than not, listed as khaki; this should help better determine what color Royce's gear was and what color to look for. Off hand, I'd say that his gear is khaki, it looks a little too light and yellow to be coyote.

I was wondering as they (the shell pouch and knife sheath/shotshell holder) are listed as coming in two colours on the (3gungear) website?
Coyote 499 and Coyote Brown 498.

I found this weapon light for those of us that can't justify the cost of the real thing. It is at worst 1/5 the cost.
Just do a search for an Element EM910A /EX 202 for a reseller (airsoft supply) near you.
To my eye it is a very nice match.
Attached is the one I had dropped at the door yesterday.
Thank you to all that have added to the great places to get parts for this costume!

Think I may mold my knife for a "con" safe version. Any of you guys think you may want one?

Very nice info. I myself am not making a Royce costume, but I would like to have the vest and gear that Royce did in the movie for real life events. Instead of an AA-12 which they are still working all the bugs out of and probably wont be on the market to the public for many years, I am using the Saiga-12 which I think is a better gun anyway.

Here's some pics of the test prototypes for you Art, You'll get a chance to test out how they hang and attach by the end of the week.;) I made 3 variations on the construction, so you can give me feedback on what you like.

And I don't have the proper knife or shotgun shells, so a Kabar and some resin 50 cal rounds will have to stand in.

Very nice. Need to get these.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for posting.
Sadly a lot of the stuff needed for the costume does "not" ship to Canada because of new "Identification" rules.
At least some key components will not clear customs....shotgun and now I learn the knife/shotshell sheath.....The world is getting really screwed up.

which stuff are you having problems with?

lapolice gear wont ship the 5.11 pants or shirts to canada for some reason..

but i ordered the vest and pouches from them yesterday.

Sadly the shotgunshell/knife and shotgun round pouch do not ship to Canada.
The replica shotgun is at the discretion of Canada Border service agents.
Good thing there are no optics....scopes are not shipped either.

FYI. the shell pouches are not a banned item...i was going to buy some of those too, from 3gunner gear right?

im thinking that company just decided not to deal with the hassle of sending international, as buying shotgun shell panels or pouches from other places is not a problem.

my parents have a winter place down in california, so im just getting mine shipped to them.

pretty much all replica guns will be seized, unless you have a special customs license, which luckaly a buddy of mine has...

It's not about banning. It is about Identification. That ID is up to the CA on duty at the time your package goes through customs. Having a bad day your package is seized and you are out of pocket. Having a good day and your package goes through all fine and dandy.
My money does not grow on trees so I'll not be taking the chance.
The stuff I'm not worried about is the 5.11 stuff as I can get it here in town or have it shipped up from the States.
