Nights kicked me about abit, so i didnt get to finish the mask stand, but hopefully i can do alittle work on both mask and stand towards the end of this week

Sorry, Ive been really busy with work/family stuff and paint ups for other people, so put my own stuff to the back of the list.

Happily i am free after today ( i think ) so i can hopefuly get around to starting the paint up this lump of latex, in the coming week.

Finally got a few base coats down, but before i go any further , does anyone have any pics of the rear of the head, pre dreds? i know it will not be seen so i can wing it, but id still like alittle reference if there is any.

Oh and i have looked everywhere i can, but i do not have the Special edition P2 dsc and im wondering if there are any on there.

Also started on the display stand, hopefully ill have some pics to post of one of these in the next week or so.

Hmm ill check the movie right now, but i dont think it has any. However, in the Winston Effect book in the Lifers chapter, theres a picture of john rosengrant painting the P2 and you can see the back side of it.

You can see the side view but not the total rear of the head, i know theres a Black streak that goes up the P2's back, but just really wondering if it goes up his head also.
Nothing at all on the Special edtion P2 dvd?

I dont believe so, just pictures of the mask, but not the back. Unless im missing something in it. Wait, doesnt larry or somebody have a screen used mask? Maybe he can tell you.

Yeah well it was just shot in the dark really.

no matter i shall just wing away, hopefully get this painted up after the weekend.

Also going to try work on the base for it, now that my schedule is fairly clear

Well, managed to get some base colours down here and there over the last week.

1st of all i wanted this P2 to look dirty, i do no want a prestine clean shiney pred, i want himto look like hes been working his ass off killing the voodoo gang,So my base colours have had some greys/blacks added.

Today as i said i mved onto some of the patterns, i have been painting some parts lighter than others to give the red bits hopefully some variation and depth rather than being all the same block colour.

I have only done the brows and the right cheak so far, and i thought id post to get some feedback on how the pattern is progressing, once im done with the pattern in this colour i intend on going over with some darker shades in places , then finally blacks.

Never painted a P2 before, and i figured the die hard P2 people could slap me now rather than later if i am going wrng with this.

anyway, heres what i have so far.

Oh please ignore the shape of the head in the middle, it is literally sitting on a wooden post. ( i must get a proper armature for painting.)

I love the effect around the cheeks and brow, thats a really pretty paint up, damn i shoulda bought a full face undermask LOL. Wonderful work!

Looks like your on the right track to me. You have all the stripes on brow and cheek looks good. Keep up the good work.
