well thats real nice of ya, ive said before im as noobie as the next noob here, but if anything i show helps someone even think about sculpting then it makes me smile

Hey, Theres a Fibreglass human head under the clay, ( minus the ears and nose as i cut them off to make it easier to dig the clay out from around those areas )
Seem line will go pretty much the same as my other sculpts, along the edges of the head ridges and down the neck.
What do i normally use? not sure what that means, but its Chavant NSP medium clay and hell be molded in plaster if i deem him mold worthy

aight lee... you've motivated me to finally post some progress pics of my sculpt since i too am workin on a P2. it will be a P2 elder mind u, not the the elder from P2 but a P2 as an elder since i cant remember seeing one of them yet. i was gonna just wait and spring it upon u guys kinda like pete did with his elder, but this way might be more fun. u up for a little friendly competition there lee, to see who can come closest to screen accurate ? i need some motivation to get this thing done. i always seem to end up with an xbox contoller in my hands when i should be sculpting . hopefully we can work off each other if nothing else. the sculpts lookin good so far by the way . it was kinda cool to see how the route u took differed from mine. u guys should grab the popcorn, this could get good .If you wanna bounce of me, fine dude.
BUT My sculpts are ALWAYS done for me, and MY take on the creature ( ie my wolf didnt have a screen accurate chin , etc ) so screen accuracy isnt always my priority.
Also youve mentioned yourself in the same breath as Mr Murphy , which means your a far better sculpter than i could ever be. so i should not be much of a challenge for you.

nah thats cool dood, i just thought it would be kinda fun.mine wont be screen accurate in the end either since its going to be a yet unconceived elder. ive posted some pics in my thread. i seem to have committed somekind of sacriledge mentioning pete.i in no way compared myself to the dood, only said i had planned to unveil my mask in its finished form the way he did, unless i somehow missed his earlier posts. but, my bad i guess. i formally apologize to mr murphy in advance in hopes of averting anything that could possibly arise. i will retreat back to my hovel and work quietly now..."wimpers."
Sorry if youve taken my response the wrong way, but i do not see sculpting as a competition, if you want it to be a competition then sure we can go that way.

it was all in fun dood. there would be no end result in the competition other than a couple of completed masks that two people poured a lot of blood (literally in my case ) sweat and tears into. it were mostly all about motivation. now quit with all the pointless babble and get with the sculpting!!!

Lee I've barely had time to sit down and fart the last couple of weeks as I've an advert in the pipe and need to get pre production rolling on that, and between that and moderating ona couple of boards I've had no free time. but if you still need any more screenies let me know and I will sit down and grab them for you, I should have a window of a few hours spare next week sometime...Sorry for the delay mate.
