Predator scales

Hey all,

I'm working on a Pred Sculpt right now haven't put it in the WIP section yet as the photo's on my phone suck but here's a taster.

I tried scales, not too happy with them ya know?
Just wondering if anyone has any helpful techniques on making scales?

The scales look good, maybe a bit big on sections of the head but next to the eye looks good. Its hard to see in the pictures but it looks like you havent traced them in yet with a rubber tool. Run a rubber pokey tool in all the gaps between the scales and then with a soft brush dipped in 90% rubbing alcohol swirl it all around over the scales and it will "flesh them out". That is if the clay is oil based, if its water based then a brush with water on it. Hope this helped!

I also think the scales next to the eyes look good.

Thanks for the input guys. I will try the rubber tool Termokk thanks =) Will do some experiments and post the results, with better quality photo's
