Predator Reboot

What I'd like to see,  because I like the notion of it , would be a movie based off of the 'Bad Blood' comics...  I'd love to see one Predator actively hunt down another.  I love the thought of a Pred-gone-bad.... whats worse than meeting a Predator in the woods...  meeting a predator in the woods who has absolutely no code of honour and wants to test his weapons out on you.
This also gives fans the possibility of a Pred being killed, and another victorious Pred living past the end of the film.

They don't need to follow the comic's storyline religiously, this way avid fans won't know the outcome before the movie starts.

An alternative idea I liked was a couple of WW2 stories...... one where I got the idea when watching 'Enemy At The Gate' would be a Predator stalking the war-torn ( and sniper-ridden ) ruins of Stalingrad, taking out elite Germans and Russians alike.   The second idea was where two soldiers, one American and one Japanese,  find themselves alone on a pacific Island and must work together to battle the unearthly hunter who has wiped out the rest of their respective squads.

wow all this buzz and then nothing... no news on the P sequel in weeks

Still lots of cool and original predator costumes out there being fabricated...not so crazy about the "cosplay" thing but whatever to each his own.

Don't expect much infos soon, Predator 3, if not abandonned or cancelled won't be released before 2016 or 2017.
And evrey kind of comic book crap can happen in the middle, stuffs the fans don't want to see in a movie, such as a predator female, super predators
or any other kind of vile crap.

I guess I should probably browse here more often, first I'm reading about this.

Will be interesting to see if they do it right, or not.  There's no way it could be worse that Predators, but then again I didn't think they could do any worse than AvP and then they made Predators.  I'm liking that they're calling it a sequel, but that could also change at any time.

AvP-R was terrible also, but the best of those three movies because of the Wolf.  His design was great, excluding the fact that he had no netting on his legs, which was bizarre.  AvP had good designs, save for the giant cannons and over sized blades, but practically, the designs were poorly executed.  The designs featured in Predators were unadulterated **** with no saving grace or positive elements whatsoever - I have no idea what the hell they were thinking with that one.  The quality of their work was great, but it was wasted.

Edit:  The story was also worse than in the previous AvP films.  "Super Predators" give me a break.

I'm hoping they can do for Predator, what Gareth Edwards did for Godzilla.

I myself wasn't to thrilled about the so called super predators. When he first came out it was like the ultimate warrior, now there's a higher breed. To make a sequel to predators without the so called super predators is what I would like to see.

Thought we'd lost you Bensin, glad to see you're still around.  I can always count on you to speak my mind and get a good laugh.  ;)

I agree with the super preds being lame.  Havn't even watched it yet and I think it would have been to the benefit of mankind if it was err....um..."lost" on the editing room floor.  I've watched the behind the scenes footage... because lets face it. The extras are usually more interesting than the movie itself.

When they were describing the design of Mr Black and said they gave the super preds a more modern and sleeker look I was like.... "Whaaaaaa?"  What the F are they talking about?  If anything he looked MORE primative.  Like he just climbed out of the primordial ooze primative.   I have to admit though, I liked the texture of his skin... but then he had to take off his bio and look like a deranged codfish with razorburn.  Nope....no like.

But as I always say... the first will always be the best of any movie franchise.  Sequels just feel forced to me and it is a rare event indeed that they are able to standup to the original.  I say, lets just sit back, relax, expect nothing, and just have some really great popcorn and sugary treats to munch on incase its horrible.

Yeah, it blew my mind in a bad way, that monstrosity looked like a clown, literally as if it if was wearing face paint.  The designs as I mentioned were awful and I think that when Stan Winston Studios no longer had anything to do with the hunter (The last Predator(s) they did being in Predator 2) Predator was doomed.  ...And it's been a long time since Predator 2.

I also really disliked the lack of netting, but that's like saying I didn't enjoy the plate of **** for dinner, but really disliked the garnish.  I've seen a lot of garage kits with no netting on the Predators and of course, in staying on topic, those Super Deformed Predators didn't have netting either.  Not just bad design, lazy too.

I hope that Stan Winston Studios is involved this time all the way through.

...but hey, like you said, at least I can gorge myself on overpriced theater food, I'm getting nachos and pretzels.

I also found the net-less look disappointing, but can sort of understand the lack of netting on Mr. Black though. With his black and grey scaled skin, the netting detail would most likely be lost, so they probably didn't bother with it. Ever though I do not care for the over-all super Predator look, I am planning on adopting the Mr Black color and texture for my female's skin. Minus the cod-fish face of course. I was wondering how I would bringout the detail of the netting and decided to have a golden or brass color net to contrast with the darker skin tones. We'll have to wait and see if it works.

I think it would look cool actually even with a dark color, because it would look like part of the patterning on the skin.  ...But if you're looking for some contrast, then the gold could be interesting.
