PREDATOR/PREDATOR 2 Action Figures from NECA

RiggsMcClane
@NECA_TOYS Being cost effective. Couldn't you get a mud caked Dutch with bow and arrow from the Conan War Paint sculpt? Seems plausible. [/i]

NECA_TOYS
@RiggsMcClane not really, his body is very different from film to film. if we get to do Dutch it will be all new 100%

I kindly ask you not to jump all over each of my posts. Thanks.

Chill out kid.

If you post...expect a response.

This is a MESSAGE BOARD after all.
Whether I do it, or someone else does it, shouldn't get your panties in a bunch like that.

I don't know who you are, and I certainly haven't paid attention to what posts you're making.
So, you're NOT being singled out.

And what I said about different character licensing is VERY true.

Every movie character has it's own license. Then, on top of that, you have to have the licensing of the actor portraying that character.

Just because you have the Arnold in CONAN license, doesn't mean you can use Arnold's likeness to make a Dutch from PREDATOR.
You have to obtain the likeness rights for the Dutch character and Arnold's likeness rights as Dutch.

Hate to be the one to break it to ya, but that's just how it is.

Tracker has such an artistically-interesting design. From behind, the back-down looks like one of those oriental paintings.

Actually, Sabre is right. NECA doesn't have the Dutch's license yet, as we can see in this message:

Question:
@NECA_TOYS I honestly would like to see you guys do a human line for P1, maybe P2 and definitely predators, I can see why not.

Answer:
@Randy7027 sorry but the only human I'm into doing as a figure is Dutch if we get the rights.

That's the reason the first Terminator figure from McFarlane didn't look like Arnold.

McFarlane had the likeness rights of the Terminator character, but NOT Arnold's likeness rights.

So, they could make the Terminator...but it couldn't look like Arnold.

They didn't get that until later, and then the Terminator figures started looking like Arnold.

A Hunters Moon: sabres isn't singling you out or jumping on your posts...he's just stating the facts. Relax...have a beer and take a deep breath...

Sabres - I remember following that Terminator sculpt years ago on Spawn.com. I saw the first pics of Arnie and then saw them mangle and deform the face so that it didn't resemble Arnie. That was so sad...

Thanks PredatrHuntr.

Another example is the Hot Toys Executive Officer Kane (from ALIEN) figure.

They had the license to the movie character, but not John Hurt's likeness.

So, the Kane figure doesn't look like John Hurt.

My problem was that if you look over this thread it seems like you've tried countering me post after post here recently. I understand it's a forum with opinions, so let me have mine without constantly subtracting from what I say. You're probably right this time around. I just found it particularly annoying this morning.

Now, let's get back on track:

Did you notice where a lair member asked if they would do the lost hunters? I guess Randy said they were trying to get to as many of the Pred characters as the production schedule allowed. So it wasn't exactly a no. Nice!

Dude, if I've countered you...it's because you're wrong.

You're more than welcome to your opinion.
But, I'm not going to let wrong information just go unresponded to.

Don't take it personal. :D

hmmmm... what's the problem?let's keep this thread cool and clean... :D

yeah every likeness of a certain actor or actress should have a license before it can be mass produce... just like also in the HT edwardscissorhands it doesn't resemble any likeness from johhny depp right?...
dutch would be a good addition to our collection... sad to hear that neca will not probably get the license of AVP mcfarlane got it first but still they can try to negotiate it... neca has a lot of surprise for us I believe in them...

will probably going to support neca to give us more predator figures in the future come to think of it bunch of lost hunters to add to our collections! :)

Sabres, why bother here? SSF board seems like the better place for figures and what not. Here is good for kits, which I know you love.

Come to think of it, I've had a lot more interest in figure sales here than on SSF :D. So... thanks, members of THL. I love you guys!

This board seems pretty focused on costumes, props, and stuff that involves creation on our parts. But that doesn't mean we don't love a good Predator figure.

Amen to that mate... :)

Then why is there a Board for FIGURES, PRE-PAINTS and OTHER? :D
Its a small section and I find it very bland. Only a few threads that get a lot of attention. Then again this is a Predator forum, I like SSF because it has diversity maybe? Still a good board, I guess I'm more partial to the SSF board. Sorry to piss you off buddy.
