PREDATOR/PREDATOR 2 Action Figures from NECA

Just got my Neca ‘Predators’ “ Classic” in the mail. My masked Neca wolf says that he’s the ugliest thing he’s ever seen and that if I put him on the computer desk anywhere near him, he’s going to kick his ass. Lol.
Seriously, I’m not overly pleased with the classic, but he is ‘acceptabe.’ His paint up has a glossy quality to it, but I knew there were issues with the paint up going into this. On the up side, The leg articulation is awesome; I love how you are able to position them. He’s a nice solid figure, stands well on his own. The armor sculpt is great. The face isn't bad either..he's a keeper. I just need to keep him away from wolf.

Probably picking up my set this friday. My local tru seems to stock quite a bit of neca's stuff. So I'm sure they'll have em and for about three bucks cheaper than online. I missed out on McFarlanes series one AVP and have regretted it since but not this time. Wish me luck!

It's okay. You didn't miss out on McFarlane's AVP Preds. I have one mint set complete and that's all I want. The figures are cheaply made and aweful for displaying. Garbage articulation. The arms are stuck in the worst positions I've ever seen. I was able to get a stealth Celtic for cheap on eBay so I bought 2. When I took it out of the box I didn't have it open for but 1 minute and the shoulder cannon broke. It felt like the cheapest plastic possible that was used to make those figures. I couldn't even bare to look at it after that. I threw it right in the trash- where it belongs. I have no clue why they go for so much on eBay right now. Even the Kenner Predators are better quality than the McFarlane AVP line.

I don't know how hard it is for some of these Ebay sellers to understand, that when someone orders something from you... SHIP THE DAMNED ITEM IN A SECURE, STURDY, PEANUT/BUBBLE WRAPPED BOX!!!

I got one of my Berserker Stealth PRED's that I had paid well over the price I should have, and the frikkin' card where the punch is, is all bent up and creased. Now, as a collector and somewhat perfectionist with my things... I expect nothing but N/M-Mint as possible figures when I order them. NOT damaged, and packed as cheap as possible.

Seriously... if anyone here is an Ebay seller, offer the insurance that helps a lot with damaged merch, and go that extra step to insure that you WILL have a satisfied customer. SHEESH!

I'm pleased with neca's work on the classic rather than mcfarlane version...

for me what I can say is mcfarlane released this years ago and the quality was not that good on the plastics but I think if they have released it as of today as same with neca I think they will do a great job...mcfarlane was known before as one of the best toy company and produced horror and movie based figures with great paint apps and sculpt...just my opinion

i think where mcfarlane really messed up was when he tried to have "articulated" figures. not that the previous ones weren't, they just weren't up to spec with what neca produces today.with the P1 he had his "A pose" (as mcf himself calls it) but with the later, the sculpt fit the articulation, where as neca, the articulation was made to fit the sculpt. i have several MCF figs and love them, but neca is definately putting out the better stuff nowadays. mcf is either goin in some other obscure direction or he's dying down, cause i don''t see much of his stuff anywhere, whatever he's doing, dragons or something? anyway...

have to agree then! hahaha neca is the reason I started to collect figures such as horror and movie figures and specially now they are adding predators to their line...they got a nice mix of statue like and articulation at the same time...

I started collecting with mcfarlane and I have to agree they were good for the time. Neca emerged soon after thanks to randy falk leaving todds employ. They were better made toys with a larger range of selection. Todd gave up on horror and movie toys real quick and even said so in a radio message. Saying something like after freddy, jason, and chucky there was nothing to make. Well, sir, you were proven wrong. Hell, I was perma-band on mcfarlanes site for saying so. lol

Seeing some of the things they're going to do with the pred line I'm getting really excited. I mean, the P2 trophy wall, are you kidding? Go NECA!

Series 3 is Elder, '87 Predator Masked, and the Predator Hounds

From NECA on Twitter. Looks like Hounds next year? Thats when the '87 Predator was said to drop. Oh well, still can't wait for them! All of my TRU sold out of them, of course I did not help by buying a whole case and returning only the poorly painted ones, paint slop on the head, bio or bent blades.

so as what I read in this thread neca would probably release a new variants justl like falconer with the falcon? doesn't make sense they should have included it on the 1st series.. I can smell a lot of variants here! but still a lot of predators for us which is good! haha

that's a good find bro! you should have not opened that! and kept it MOC... that will be a good collectors item!
