Predator - Ol' Painless

Where, oh WHERE do I get the ammo belt slip-cover-bullet-hider-sleeve thingy that feeds from the pack to the weapon? I'll be needing some for my T-600 project. And how many limbs and kidneys will I be looking at to get it? Thanks...! :)

Sometimes you can find the aluminum flex chuting used at military surplus stores or at gunshows. New, it runs a little over $100.00 per foot plus there are different end pieces (with attachment hardware) based on what hookup you have on the gun end (goes into the feeder-delinker unit) and the what ammo can you are using. Usually for M134 setups you have dual retractable pins (locking) on the gun side and "clothespin" clamps on the ammo can side. Standard Armaments in California makes the chutes, although there may be others, but its where I get mine.

FYI a minigun will work with regular linked ammo. At some of the machinegun shoots we hold, we rent one out without the chute because some folks like to see the linked strands flying out of the can. It is also easier to setup short belts, since the renters pay by the belt to use the minigun.

For prop guns, I prefer used link chuting. New from Standard, it has a grey colored coating for protection and lubrication. For film / photo work I prefer the shinier, silvery used flex chute. The new stuff looks dull for the first few months of use.

total great info on the minigun, and awesome pics too. I just got done with my 1/6 custom Blain I will post pics soon

Happy Holidays to All

Easier to fire in a static mount, for the weak of arm :)
